2017 Pre-conference workshop – History of Photography

The CNSA will host a pre-conference workshop on May 10, 2017, on the History of Photography. This workshop will survey photography’s major technical developments since its invention in the early nineteenth century, and examine how photography has been used and understood by practitioners over the centuries. Our instructor, Sharon Murray, is a PhD candidate in Art History at Concordia University specializing in photographic history and theory.
