CNSA AGM 2015 / MemoryNS Training
Please join us for this year’s CNSA AGM! Due to the joint superconference in September 2015, we will be holding this year’s AGM separate from the conference. Instead, we will have a full day of instruction (morning and afternoon sessions) on our new provincial archival database, MemoryNS, with the AGM taking place over the lunch break.
We will be starting the day with a session on searching, editing, and publishing in MemoryNS, facilitated by the CNSA MemoryNS committee’s Zac Howarth and Karen White. At noon we’ll break for a catered lunch at the Nova Scotia Archives, during which the Council of Nova Scotia Archives Annual General Meeting will be held. Following the conclusion of lunch and the AGM, we will return to McCain 2019 for more in-depth work with MemoryNS. The MemoryNS session will continue with digital objects, administration, and everything else you might need to get your institutions online repository ready for the public. You can, of course, attend the AGM without attending the MemoryNS sessions, or vice-versa, but you’ll get the most out of your day if you come to both!
Both of the MemoryNS training sessions, as well as the AGM and lunch, are free to all CNSA members. We do ask, however, that you RSVP to Jamie Serran to let us know that you are planning to attend so that we have attendance numbers for the room rentals and for catering. Please specify whether you will be attending the AGM and one or both MemoryNS sessions.
Looking forward to seeing you on May 8th!
