CNSA Member Archives & Organizations

The CNSA serves and supports more than 90 archives across Nova Scotia. The majority of our members are community archives, which are part of community museums. We also have several religious archives, university and school archives, as well as governmental archives (municipal, provincial, federal) within our membership.

The Council of Nova Scotia Archives and its members are located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq, which is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We recognize the Mi’kmaq as the past, present, and future caretakers of this land. The CNSA is committed to acknowledging the truth of our shared histories and walking the path of reconciliation together. We are all Treaty People.
