AGM / Conference 2013
May 23, 2013 @ 6:00 am - May 24, 2013 @ 1:30 pm ADT
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our 2013 CNSA Conference, The 3 P’s of Digital Archives: Possibilities, Practicalities, & Partnerships!
Over 50 members joined us on the first day, May 23rd, to hear sessions on collaborative digital projects and metadata, get an update on the ArchWay migration project, take a tour of Nova Scotia Archives’ digitization lab, and discuss the morning’s topics further in breakout group sessions. Several new Board members were elected during the AGM, and the day ended with a wine and cheese reception and celebration of the CNSA Awards.
Day 2, May 24th, began with a departmental update from Provincial Archivist Lois Yorke, continued with a presentation from 2012 CNSA Award winner Peter Crowell (Argyle Township Court House Archives), and concluded with a panel discussion/presentation on digital projects and partnerships from some of our colleages in the museum, archives, and library communities. Later that day, a small group visited Dalhousie University’s Killam Library for a presentation and demonstration of their 3D scanner and printer.
Many thanks again to all of our speakers, the organizing committee, and the participants. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
