Call for Conference Presentors!

The CNSA has teamed up with our friends and colleagues in museums and libraries to organize another Libraries, Archives, Museums Nova Scotia (LAMNS) joint conference, which will take place Halifax/Kjipuktuk from October 2-4, 2025.
The LAMNS Conference Planning Committee is is inviting proposals for conference presentations, panels, and lightening sessions on the theme of INTERSECTIONS – adaptability, sustainability, and community connections in libraries, archives, and museums.
Presentation/Panel topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Inclusivity and relationship-building with communities
- Preserving and sharing community stories and perspectives
- Libraries, museums, and archives supporting and promoting safe and healthy communities
- Sustainable programming, interpretation, and services
- Climate adaptation and disaster planning
- School programs, connections, and outreach
- Addressing accessibility – physical, intellectual, digital – meeting people where they are
- Rural outreach and programming
- Engaging youth/young adults and creating impactful and meaningful programming
- Off-site and outdoor programming and services
- Succession planning and staff/volunteer recruitment and resilience
- Funding opportunities and low-cost programs and initiatives
- And, of course, cross-sector collaboration!
To submit a proposal:
Please include the name(s) of the presenter(s)/panelists and their contact information plus:
- A brief description of your presentation/panel
- Proposed length of your presentation/panel, including question period
- Brief speaker bio(s)
- Any accessibility requirements or adaptations needed
