CNSA is seeking a Treasurer for our Executive!

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to fill the role of Treasurer, a rewarding position that offers key support to the organization. This is a rewarding position that offers key support to the organization!

There are several responsibilities in this position which mostly resolve around:

  • Reporting on finances as part of the Executive.
  • Assisting in budgeting and allocating funds.
  • Arranging for our yearly financial review, among other duties.
  • Initial appointment is for a three-year term.
  • A detailed list can be provided.

Membership in the CNSA (individual or institutional) is a requirement; experience managing budgets and finances within your own organization would also be an asset.

The executive meets virtually once a month, so this is a great opportunity for a CNSA member from anywhere in the province to participate! We also have a yearly AGM, which is usually a hybrid meeting. If you decide to join us in-person for that meeting (or any others), you are eligible for the travel subsidy for CNSA members, as well as other travel supports to attend executive meetings.

The good news is that we have a bookkeeper to assist in this position, in addition to a lot of support from the rest of our Executive, and our full-time Archives Advisor, Sharon Murray. All of us are excited to help with onboarding and assisting our new Treasurer.

If you think you might be interested or would like more information, please contact the CNSA office by phone or email to speak to Sharon Murray, Archives Advisor, or any members of the Executive.

Regards,

Hansel Cook
