The CNSA’s new Digital Archives Coordinator!
We’re delighted to welcome Rohini Singh as the CNSA’s new Digital Archives Coordinator!
Rohini completed her Master of Archival Studies at the University of British Columbia in 2025 and brings an impressive combination of technical experience with digital preservation and archival databases, plus a genuine passion for supporting archives.
In her recent roles, Rohini developed digital preservation workflows, managed large-scale media migrations, automated preservation processes, and helped strengthen long-term digital preservation strategies in the institutions where she worked. She also brings strong experience with archival databases, archival description, and metadata.
What makes Rohini an exceptional fit for the CNSA is not just her technical expertise, but her practical and people-centred approach. Rohini believes in meeting organizations where they are, listening before advising, and tailoring support to each archive’s needs and capacity. When we asked her what role she thinks organizations like the CNSA should play in the future of digital preservation, her answer wasn’t technical – it was advocacy for archives. That perspective resonated with us.
In her first year as Digital Archives Coordinator, Rohini will focus on:
- Assisting members with MemoryNS and helping strengthen its use across the province
- Conducting a jurisdictional scan of members’ digital capacity
- Advising members on preserving digital collections
- Planning digital preservation training, resources, and services
- We think you’ll find Rohini a warm, capable, and collaborative addition to the CNSA team, and we’re looking forward to the energy she’ll bring to MemoryNS and our digital supports for members!
