General description:
This half-day workshop will offer hands-on
training on how to use the new data entry module
for ArchWay, our online database of archival
descriptions. This new module uses the Internet
to allow members to enter descriptions into
ArchWay from their work place. Each participant
will have the use of a computer and will learn
how to enter, save and review their fonds and
series level descriptions. Participants are
asked to bring their new RAD descriptions, for
practice doing data entry.
Learning Method:
Learning is done through a combination of lecture,
examples and hands-on practice in a computer
lab. If participants do not have their own descriptions
to enter, sample descriptions can be provided.
Prior knowledge required:
Experience using Rules for Archival Description
(RAD) or completion of Introduction to
RAD workshop.
Bring your new RAD descriptions, for data entry
practice.
The CNSA gratefully acknowledges the Digby
Area Learning Association (DALA) for the use
of their computer facilities.
