CNSA's email message list CNSA-L acts as an on-line, local archival community message board. It is aimed primarily at the CNSA membership, but the email list is open to other colleagues who are interested in professional archival issues in Atlantic Canada.

Purpose

CNSA-L is:

• a support group, allowing members to discuss local archival issues and topics
• a place for notifying members about upcoming workshops and events
• a means of becoming more familiar with the collections in each of our archives
• a place for updates and discussion about the provincial and national database projects

Subscribing

To subscribe to CNSA-L:

• send a blank email to: join-cnsa-l@lists.gov.ns.ca
• no subject is required
• no message in body
• remove any signature block before sending to the listserv

Posting

To post to CNSA-L:

• send a message to: CNSA-L@lists.gov.ns.ca
• you may leave on your signature block when posting to this address

Unsubscribing

To leave CNSA-L:

• send a blank email to: leave-CNSA-L@lists.gov.ns.ca
• remove any signature block before sending to the listserv

Rejected Messages

If a message is ever rejected, please contact the list administrator:

Subscriber Types

Your Subscriber Type determines how you receive messages posted to this list. There are 3 types:

• Mail: receive messages as they are contributed to the list. This is the default setting and the most common.
• Digest: receive all of the daily messages in one email
• MIME Digest: receive all the daily messages as attachments in one email
• To change your subscriber type, send an email to: lyris@lists.gov.ns.ca
• in the body of the email type: set CNSA-L type
  For example, set CNSA-L digest
