Doris Flikke [ca. 1942] Doris Flikke (nee Knickle) was born in Lunenburg. During World War II she served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force. It was at that time that she met her husband, Elias Flikke Norwegian sailor. Following the War the couple lived in Norway for several years and then returned to Nova Scotia and settled in Antigonish. Doris worked for the Municipality for several years and later began volunteering for the Antigonish Heritage Museum where she became a faithful worker to forward the interests of the Museum.
