The Future of Our Past Council of Nova Scotia Archives |
The Nova Scotia Highland Village and Roots Cape Breton have a mandate to collect and preserve items relating to the history of the Highland Scot's prescence in Nova Scotia. Roots Cape Breton collects archvial items and genealogies, including microfilmed census records, birth, marriage and death records, land records and land grant records for Cape Breton. Much of the collection and Roots' activities are directly related to the work of Mull River resident and Cape Breton historian Jim St.Clair.
Below are examples of the type of records found at Roots Cape Breton Genealogy & Family History Centre at the Highland Village Museum. For a larger view and item details, click on desired image. Return to Cape Breton Trails.
